Madera is the second Bello room, the one that exists so you do not have to cross all the way to Obra 2000. Carrera 55 #24A-06. The pin falls at 6.3364462, -75.5633058, in El Rosario. When they reviewed it soon after opening, the way in was Madera station on metro line A: about ten minutes on foot. That is still the best instruction.
The same card, another platform
There is no separate menu for Madera. There is Guadalupe's. In 2019, with the chain still at three doors, three tacos ran from $13,900 to $18,900, four flautas at $13,900, and the burrito the same. Those prices are a map, not the check. Order flautas if this is your first time at this branch and three tacos if you already know Obra 2000 and want to see whether the kitchen travels. It travels. Sauce on the side. A chicken or meat main, if you came to actually dine, sat in that $14,900 to $24,900 range. Seafood went higher.
The story of the five rooms and the bar is on the Guadalupe menu. The contact the house uses is 301 493 3887. I do not have a fine hour just for Madera. Ask, or treat Obra 2000's listing as a rumor that the brand lives at night on weekdays and opens at noon some days.
Get off at Madera, not at Bello
If you are coming from the south of the valley, Madera saves you Bello station and the walk to the park. If you are coming from Niquía, the reverse: Obra 2000 is more natural. Do not do both in one day to compare. It is the same family. Pick the station you are already on.
By car, Carrera 55 at rush hour is slow. The metro wins. There is no mall garage. There is a neighborhood street. On Friday at 8, if you see no space, do not loop forever. Join the line or drop to Belén, which is another station and another park.
What the room feels like
Newer than Calle 55, less “the first shop where they lent bricks.” The Virgin emblem still has to be there, because it is the brand, not a decoration of one room. The cover of these pages uses that oval on dark green. Order the margarita if you are staying. Do not order it to go. And if you came with a kid, the nugget existed on the 2019 card at $12,900 so a small cousin would not have to negotiate a taco. Ask if it is still there.
Madera is the practical room for south Bello. Use it that way. Get off the metro, walk the ten minutes, order three tacos, and do not turn the night into a branch tour. One door eaten well beats two doors eaten halfway. Laureles and Itagüí are still there for another day.
If it is raining, and in Bello it rains properly, do not stretch the walk from the station hungry and without a jacket. A short car from Madera to Carrera 55 is worth more than arriving soaked and over-ordering to comfort yourself. The branch is still a neighborhood room. The metro is the guide, not an obligation. Arrive dry, order the flautas, and leave Bello's park for the other door, Obra 2000, on a different day with sun.
