El Poblado has too many places to meet and people still say “at Crepes.” This branch is Carrera 36 #10-54, with the pin the brand publishes: 6.2092786, -75.5658379. It is a restaurant, an ice cream counter, and brunch. It is not a kiosk. If you agreed to meet “in El Poblado” without a number, this is one of the few points the other person understands without three location pins.

Hours that are actually written

Monday to Thursday, 11:30 to 21:00. Friday and Saturday, 8:00 to 21:00. Sunday, 8:00 to 20:30. The holiday they list opens at 8:00 and closes at 20:30. The phone is 604 349 6810, extension 4701. Weekend brunch is the reason to come early: ham, cheese, and egg at $20,800 on the Oviedo reference, which is also in El Poblado but is the mall ice cream shop, not automatically this door. The dining-room price may not match. Use it as a scale.

On a weekday before 11:30 this branch is not your breakfast. Do not show up at 10 on a Tuesday hungry for egg. Come Saturday. Order the egg and a hot chocolate if it is raining, which in Medellín it is, even when the map says sun.

What to order on this corner

The house savory is still ham and cheese, $19,900 on the reference list. Roast beef, $25,900, is for someone who came from a meeting on Calle 10 and skipped lunch. Cheese alone, $14,200, is for someone about to split dessert. Nutella with strawberry or banana, $16,300. Arequipe with cheese, $13,900, if you already know. In El Poblado the temptation is to order more because the next table ordered more. Do not. One savory crepe a person and one sweet to split is enough. A waffle with ice cream is third, not first, if you have not eaten.

The long card is on the brand menu. There is no secret El Poblado menu. There is the same batter, a longer line, and a breakfast hour other branches do not have.

Moving around

36 with 10 is real El Poblado, not the upper slope toward Las Palmas. You arrive by car, by app, or on foot if you are already in Provenza or Manila. Parking gets mean on Friday night and Saturday at noon. From Poblado metro station the walk is a climb or a drop depending on the side, and it is not kind in heels. A short car from the station, in a group, costs less than four extra milkshakes of stress.

Pets: the brand’s Medellín list names Laureles, Mayorca, Tesoro, San Diego, and others. This Carrera 36 room is not in that sentence. Do not arrive with the dog assuming a terrace. Ask. If you need a pet terrace, El Tesoro is on the list.

When it is worth it

Worth it Saturday at 8:30, when brunch just opened and El Poblado is not shouting yet. Worth it Tuesday at 4, between lunch and the offices letting out. Not worth it Saturday at 1 if you hate a line, or Friday at 8 p.m. if you wanted a quiet table. For that, Palma Grande is the same batter with less shop window. And if the plan was the hill, do not force this room: La Nutibara exists for that.

Sit down, cut the crepe, and do not turn the table into an office. El Poblado already has enough open laptops. This branch is better when the phone stays face down until the sweet one arrives.
