Unicentro is the west-side mall Frisby. Carrera 66B #34A-76, local 210. The mall geocodes at 6.2408625, -75.5870710, in San Joaquín, comuna 11, the edge between Laureles and the stadium. This is not a box for the couch. It is a tray, a table, and food-court noise.

What to order at local 210

Prices in this guide come from Arrayanes, not from a board that belongs only to Unicentro. Use them as a reference and confirm at the counter. Quarter with fries $23,000. Half with arepas $32,800, half with fries $41,800. Whole chicken with arepas $59,900, with fries $74,400. Family with arepas $85,100, with fries $101,600. In a mall, with kids and a movie after, the family box with arepas feeds four if nobody arrived starving. If they did, add a quarter.

Desvare and Recargado, published by Frisby for Medellín at $17,700 at the counter, are the order when you want soup or a fillet instead of a bone-in piece. Wings, $24,900, and BBQ wings, $29,500, work if a kid will not negotiate bones. The full card is on the Frisby menu.

Getting there

You reach Unicentro by car on Calle 70 or Carrera 65, and mall parking is why this branch exists for a lot of people. You can also walk from Laureles if you live near the circular and feel like the extra blocks. A match at the stadium changes traffic for the whole area. Do not plan a “quick chicken” on a clásico Sunday. Order early, or order at Laureles, Calle 37 #80-36, which is a neighborhood shop and does not share the stadium jam in the same way.

The Medellín phone is 604 360 9000. From a mobile, 301 555 5555. Do not copy another branch’s hours onto local 210. Read the door. Malls sometimes close the food court before the craving is finished.

The table

Eat here if you want the crunch. Frisby fries do not forgive a walk to the car in a closed bag. If the plan is delivery, get the arepa, which survives. At Unicentro you are sitting down: order fries and eat them. The family cabbage goes with the family box. One big soda in the middle, not four extra cups.

If you came from the Éxito in El Poblado, you are in the wrong place. That branch is Éxito Poblado. If you wanted the exact DiDi list, that list is Arrayanes. Unicentro is for staying in the west, with parking, and leaving smelling like breading without crossing the city. Order, sit, and do not save the tray for “after the shop.” After the shop the chicken no longer makes a sound.

Local 210 behaves better on a weekday, when the mall is errands and not a stroll. Order the quarter or the half, eat the fries there, and use the garage to leave, not as a dining room. A Sunday without a match also works if you arrive when the shops open, not when the food court already smells like everything. Frisby at Unicentro is practical. Do not make it the main plan of the day or the chicken cools between two shop windows.
